Dear Daniel Stafford, Thank you for taking action and telling Apple to "Act Different" to get dangerous toxic chemicals like benzene out of the electronics supply chain.  If you haven't already, please take a moment to watch "Who Pays the Price? The Human Cost of Electronics," the 10-minute film by Heather White and Lynn Zhang that clearly summarizes the problems in electronics factories.  Then, help us keep the momentum going to pressure Apple to improve by sharing the video on Facebook, or forwarding this e-mail to your friends. According to statistics from the Chinese Ministry of Health reviewed by White and Zhang, one worker will be poisoned by toxic chemicals every five hours – most of them from benzene. Many experts who follow this issue believe poisonings are underreported, and the true number could be twice as high. In their film, White and Zhang introduce you to workers like Ming Kunpeng, above, who was poisoned while working for an Apple chip supplier, and Yi Yeting, who provides moving testimony about being poisoned by benzene in his work. “I’ve now been through 28 chemotherapy treatments,” says Yi.  “My bones hurt a lot.  It feels like thousands of ants biting my insides.” Please watch and share today.
