A Sky When Ash Meets Snow...

A Sky When Ash Meets Snow...

If clouds are portents,
The sky is quite full...

It wasn't so long ago,
Chicago,
When snownados roamed the skies,
The cold falling hard,
Downdrafting blizzard,
A thousand cars,
Trapped on Lakshore drive,
It took three days to find them all.

I was there.

Now I live in the land of the firenados,
Updrafting smoke and ash,
The billows circle the globe,
Nowhere you can go to breathe,
Living in the world's largest camp fire,
As always,
An army of pawns on the move.

Lower lows,
Higher highs,
Harder and harder,
The wind truly blows,
It's more and more energy,
That's all you need to know.

I dream of the holidays,
Lady Winter as host,
Yet her palace now floats,
A thin raft of ice,
Melting under Aurora's pretty light,
A great chess game,
Stars circle overhead,
Dancing in the disco,
Borealis color changing shimmer,
Lady Summer has a devilish game,
Her new pawn taking them all,
Queen and Rook,
Bishop and Knight,
This pawn has a name;

Humanity.
