Washington- They're different in style, background, even substance to a limited extent. But the main Democratic presidential candidates on Ohio's ballot March 2 are really competing on one central theme:

Which one can best challenge President Bush in November?

If you say it's the one for abortion rights, then that pretty much covers the field: Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Cleveland.
