Announcing Speakers for Wind & Transmission Workshop

AWEA and CanWEA
Wind & Transmission Workshop
What Every Utility, Wind Developer and Manufacturer Needs to Know
March 18 - 19, 2008
Detroit, Michigan

The Wind & Transmission Workshop is less than 4 weeks away! Please note that the early registration deadline is upon us. Register now, by Monday, February 26th, to save $50! To register, go to:
www.awea.org/events/transmission08/registration.html

Transmission is the most significant long term barrier to continued wind power expansion and it presents significant challenges for developers in the US and Canada. This workshop will explore how the wind industry and transmission entities can make better use of existing transmission capacity, work through the logjams in interconnection queues, comply with reliability rules, and expand transmission capacity. Additionally, the workshop will focus on practical actions that are being taken in states and provinces in both Canada and the US.

Why Attend AWEA Events?

The revenue generated from AWEA events is put right back into services that promote and advance the wind industry. Examples include promoting favorable policies (such as the PTC and RPS) through work with our government legislators, wind visibility campaigns, communicating and educating America on the benefits of wind energy, addressing environmental concerns, pushing for advanced transmission access for wind, and many others. Only AWEA puts your dollars to work on advancing the wind energy industry.
