February 14 - 15, 2008
Austin, TX

Daniel Stafford

The AWEA Wind Power Project Siting Workshop is just 1 week away! To register now, click here.

With wind power development expanding and with new participants entering the wind development business, this regionally-focused program will include presentations on emerging issues of project siting, such as how wind power projects affect, and don't affect, elements of the human and natural environment.

The workshop will include topics such as regulations, permits & guidelines; wildlife issues; radar and military impacts; hunting implications; and how to work effectively with local communities and manage opposition.

Why Attend AWEA Events?
The revenue generated from AWEA events is put right back into services that promote and advance the wind industry. Examples include promoting favorable policies (such as the PTC and RPS) through work with our government legislators, wind visibility campaigns, communicating and educating America on the benefits of wind energy, addressing environmental concerns, pushing for advanced transmission access for wind, and many others. Only AWEA puts your dollars to work on advancing the wind energy industry.
