Wanna work with animals, kids, or out in the forest? There are volunteer opps to match what you love.
- Helping nix worldly hardships. Screw altruism - giving back makes you feel good.
Ideal Bite's most memorable team volunteer day had us hauling extremely heavy rocks in Muir Woods…surrounded by beautiful redwoods and cute forest rangers. - Check with your HR manager - some companies let you volunteer on their clock.
- Idealist and Volunteer Match - big databases of volunteer opportunities.
- Taproot Foundation - org that hooks up skilled volunteers, from financial analysts to graphic designers, who wanna donate their talents pro bono.
- EarthDay.gov - check out government-backed volunteer activities. Just a few places that can generally use your help: local animal shelters, beaches, food banks, homeless shelters, libraries, parks, senior citizens' centers.
