The program will be held in the 2nd floor Ohrman Room of the Villa Park Public Library (305 S. Ardmore) from 7 PM – 8:30 PM. The program will educate attendees on the ongoing efforts by the DuPage River Salt Creek Workgroup (DRSCW) and other local groups to restore water quality, improve ecosystems and restore the overall environmental quality of the
Stephen McCracken, Director of Watershed Protection for the Conservation Foundation and project manager for the DRSCW will talk about water monitoring projects in the watershed and ongoing efforts to restore the watershed to its natural state.
Tom Richardson, local Sierra Club member and avid local canoeist will speak about the enhanced recreational opportunities available in the watershed.
The program will conclude with a brief discussion of what action individual residents can take to help protect water quality and environmental health in the watershed.
