Dear Daniel,

You can protect Wyoming's magical Red Desert.
Take action!

We now have a second chance to protect the desert wildlife and striking natural scenery of Southern Wyoming's Red Desert from threats like oil and gas drilling and other development.

Why protect the Red Desert?

Southern Wyoming's Red Desert is a unique remnant of our western heritage — a landscape of rainbow-colored hoodoos, towering buttes and prehistoric rock art.

Many animals, such as the tiny kangaroo rat, rely on the Red Desert for their habitat. Visitors enjoy this area for recreation and spectacular scenery in natural landmarks like the Adobe Town wilderness, Kinney Rim and Powder Rim.

The Red Desert can't protect itself. It needs your help.

You can help

You can help by taking a few minutes to ask the BLM to protect wildlands and wildlife in the Red Desert as part of a revised management plan.

Time is almost up for you to add your voice. Don't wait — ask the BLM to protect wilderness and wildlife in the Red Desert today.

And as always, thanks for all you do to protect wilderness.

Sincerely,
The Wilderness Society
