Daniel-

Shell will stop at nothing when it comes to drilling in the Arctic.

Donate today!

Help us stop them by making a generous gift of $5 today.

The situation in the Arctic has gone from bad to worse. Sea ice levels have officially reached their lowest point in history and the melting is not stopping anytime soon.

This should be a warning sign to the rest of the world that not only is climate change real, but it is advancing rapidly. Instead oil companies like Shell are taking advantage of the melting ice to push forward dangerous plans for offshore drilling in the Arctic.

Not only would drilling for oil in this region contribute to climate change in a big way, but the chances of an oil spill occurring are extremely high. BP is still cleaning up their Gulf spill from two years ago. With the harsh conditions in the Arctic, cleaning up a spill of that magnitude is impossible.

Shell has demonstrated time and time again that it is anything but Arctic Ready. Just last month Shell lost control of one of its drillships and it ran aground. They have not even made it to their drilling destination and are already making critical errors.

After that failure, Shell actually had the audacity to request an extension to their drilling window from the EPA.

Help us keep up the pressure on Shell to stop them from drilling in the Arctic by making a gift of $5.

This year the campaign to save the Arctic kicked off with a bang. Greenpeace activists teamed up with actress Lucy Lawless to occupy one of Shell's drillships before it could leave for the Chukchi Sea. We also collected more than 1.5 million signatures in support of declaring the high Arctic a global sanctuary, and produced a moving video with Radiohead and Jude Law.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. To put even more pressure on Shell, we'll need your support.

Together, we can stop Shell from drilling in the Arctic and save the last remaining polar bears. Please donate $5 today.

Thank you for all you do.

Save the Arctic,

Dan Howells
