Dear Friends of the Environment:

Next Tuesday, October 22, a very valuable and effective environmental organization will hold its second annual gala at the Westin in Lombard.  This event is $100 which is a substantial sum for many of us, but I am going because SCARCE has made a difference in our region and state by educating, advocating and innovating for nearly 25 years.  

The details are laid out below, but let me say, the silent auction at this event truly has wonderful and unique items.  The food is outstanding and the whole evening is paced well, so you are home by 9:30 pm at the latest.  I know some of you have commitments next Tuesday, but even if you can not come, please forward the invite below to a friend or make a donation to support the cause.

Dear Hilary,

SCARCE is entering it's 24th year this fall.  The SCARCE mission has always remained true:  inspire people, through education, to preserve & care for the Earth's natural resources, while working to build sustainable communities.  To continue our efforts, we are hosting our second annual Green Tie Gala.

 

We invite you to attend our Green Tie Gala on October 22.  Please join us for Jazz Music by Louis Kelly, open bar and silent auction bidding from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.  We will then have a dinner made with organic, local, and/or sustainably grown foods prepared by Chef Tim. 

We hope you can  join us to celebrate 24 years of success and a bright green future for people and our planet!
