Daniel -- Illinois has been a leader in the transition to clean energy for years. It has one of the nation's largest wind industries, and currently employs more than 96,000 people in the clean energy sector. Unfortunately, clean energy development in Illinois has dropped 99.6 percent in the last year because the existing law hasn't created a stable environment for growth. Clean energy leaders, environmental groups, and utility providers have come up with an agreement that would fix that problem. Now we just need the legislature to do its job so Illinois doesn't fall further behind. Will you help spread the word about this issue? Share this graphic to put the pressure on Springfield to act on clean energy: That's why leaders in the state came up with a solution that the legislature needs to pass. The people in Illinois have a choice: speak out on the need to fight climate change and keep Illinois a leader in the switch to clean energy -- or let the state fall behind as this rapidly growing industry sets up shop in neighboring states. Take a stand on clean energy -- share this graphic on Facebook: http://my.barackobama.com/Illinois-Clean-Energy-FB Or tweet it out: http://my.barackobama.com/Illinois-Clean-Energy-TW Thanks, Ivan Ivan Frishberg Climate Change Campaign Manager Organizing for Action | |
