Wind wins again in Chile CHILE: Developers are set to invest more than $2 billion in new wind farms in Chile over the five years after winning new contracts in the country's largest ever power tender. Investment firm takes Lagerwey stake NETHERLANDS: Dutch investment fund Ponooc has acquired a minority stake in turbine manufacturer Lagerwey, the firm announced. Business & Companies EDF EN sells further stake in Canada site CANADA: EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) has sold a 15% stake in its 350MW Riviére-du-Moulin wind farm to a trio of local community groups. Renewables a 'safe bet' for M&A WORLWIDE: In its latest power trends report, audit firm Ernst & Young said investors were looking towards the "safe bet" of renewable power. John Laing enters offshore wind GERMANY: UK infrastructure group John Laing has acquired a 30% stake in Wpd's 111MW Nordergründe offshore wind project in Germany's North Sea.
