Analysis: New projects will help Neb. realize full potential for wind generation
Nebraska has huge potential for wind development -- the fourth best in the US -- but sourced 10% of its total electricity from wind last year, according to data from the American Wind Energy Association. New projects, like the 400-megawatt Grande Prairie wind farm in Holt County, will help the state realize its potential for wind production.

Md. poised to become national leader in offshore wind, says observer
If the Maryland Public Service Commission approves either of the two offshore wind farms it's considering, Maryland would likely become the nation's leader in terms of installed offshore wind capacity, writes Cara Newcomer of The Associated Press. Maryland PSC Communications Director Tori Leonard said the PSC may approve both proposals, depending on how it would affect pricing and fees for ratepayers.

Avangrid wants to enter Mass. offshore wind energy market
Avangrid said it is seeking to enter the offshore wind market in Massachusetts, which is quickly growing because of a state target of having 1.6 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity by 2027. "With our majority shareholder Iberdrola, who has currently about 1.3GW of offshore wind in in construction and operation, we have the ability to leverage that experience for our own entity," said CEO Jim Torgerson.
