The Sierra Club has objected to the proposal, arguing that the fee makes the state unattractive for wind developers and stalls economic growth in rural communities. North American Windpower online (7/27)       Ohio senators plan to reintroduce bill easing turbine setback rules Ohio state Sen. Cliff Hite is expected to reintroduce legislation this fall that would ease the state's setback requirements for turbines, say observers. State Sen. Matt Dolan has agreed to co-sponsor the bill, adding that the rule's restrictive setback rules and renewable energy mandate freeze have hindered the industry's development in recent years.
