Final tax bill preserves $1.1B in Colo. wind investments
The final tax bill sent to President Donald Trump for approval spares the wind energy Production Tax Credit phaseout, saving the US wind industry $50 billion in investments, including $1.1 billion in Colorado. "We appreciate Sen. (Cory) Gardner and Congressman (Mike) Coffman for fighting for a tax reform bill that stands up for Colorado's 7,000 wind workers and businesses that will keep investing in US factories and rural communities," said American Wind Energy Association CEO Tom Kiernan.

Cost-effectiveness, declining costs, compatibility with farmland and a wide array of turbines suited for different areas and end users are a few of the other benefits he cites.
