AWEA, others outline 5 priorities for electricity market reformA coalition of the American Wind Energy Association and several other groups sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission outlining five priorities for overhauling the wholesale electricity market. They argue that some markets in the US "include design features that may limit choice, create conflicts with state and local policy objectives, over-procure or unnecessarily retain capacity, and raise costs for customers," and go on to call for technology-neutral market rules and other changes.Utility Dive (3/6), RTO Insider (tiered subscription model) (3/6)Enel Green Power wins 100-MW PPA with KohlerEnel Green Power North America has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Kohler in which the US manufacturer will source 100 megawatts of wind energy from its 300-MW Diamond Vista project in Kansas, according to the companies.
