Trump administration to open more East Coast areas for offshore wind
The Trump administration has confirmed two new offshore wind leasing areas off the coast of Massachusetts and is seeking feedback on potential projects in the New York Bight, a swath of water between Long Island, N.Y., and New Jersey. "Expanding the market for offshore wind is good news for American workers and the coastal communities needed to manufacture, deploy, and operate these projects," said American Wind Energy Association CEO Tom Kiernan.
