Wind, power generation central to Shell's new energy strategy
Most of the $2 billion Shell plans to invest in its new energies unit each year until 2020 will be geared toward wind and other forms of power generation, said the company in a report published today. "The decline in costs of solar and wind generation, along with the electrification of the energy system, make the development of renewable energy resources increasingly attractive for society, and an attractive investment opportunity for Shell," it said.
