Orsted to launch division for land-based wind projects
Orsted has acquired a 100% stake in Lincoln Clean Energy and will use the latter's assets to create a division focused on land-based wind. Executive Vice President of Wind Power Partnerships, M&A and Asset Management Ole Kjems Sorensen will lead the unit.

N.J. launches RFP for offshore wind supply chain ideas
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority has launched a request for proposals seeking input from qualified parties for developing the state's offshore wind supply chain and port infrastructure. "New Jersey is uniquely situated to assume a leadership position in the offshore wind industry, which presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for new, good-paying jobs in the state," EDA CEO Tim Sullivan says.

Illinois Winds prepares to build $50M project in Ill.
Illinois Winds is preparing to break ground on the 25-turbine, $50 million Panther Creek Wind Farm in Pike County, Ill., ahead of a projected 2020 start date. "This project is compatible with farming, and the local property owners will benefit from regular land rental payments from the project," said Vice President Bill Damon.
