AWEA: 7 states have projects underway to double their capacity
Arkansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Wyoming, Maryland and Massachusetts each have wind farms under construction that, once operational, will double each state's respective installed wind capacity, according to the American Wind Energy Association's latest quarterly report. "American wind power's strong growth continued in the third quarter with a record amount of capacity under construction," says Senior Analyst Celeste Wanner.
