AWEA's Farrell: Trump may turn the corner on wind
Eighty-five percent of the nation's installed wind capacity is located in Republican-led congressional districts, plus the industry enjoys broad support in states like Texas, North Dakota and Iowa, says Amy Farrell, the American Wind Energy Association's senior vice president for government and public affairs. "We'd expect the president's rhetoric to change as he hits the campaign trail and hears more from the workers who elected him," she says.

Opinion: Slow regulatory processes may hinder wind
Slow regulatory processes may interfere with industry companies' ability to take advantage of the full or partial wind energy Production Tax Credit, write Adam Schurle and Kevin Pearson, an attorney and partner with law firm Stoel Rives. Citing American Electric Power's nixed Wind Catcher project, they urge developers to leverage the construction-related provisions in the PTC to qualify for as much of the credit as possible.
