Opinion: Stable policies foster renewable energy job growth in Colo.
Policies like the wind energy Production Tax Credit and Investment Tax Credit will support renewable energy job growth in Colorado for the foreseeable future, writes Auston Van Slyke, program director for wind energy technology at Ecotech Institute. "These long-term extensions will continue to help drive down the cost of renewable energy, and create additional demand for new in-state renewable power projects," he writes.

Opinion: High-performance computing could improve turbine performance
High-performance computing has become a mainstream technology that can be applied in a variety of applications to improve efficiency, writes Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Bill Mannel. The wind energy industry could "use HPC systems to handle massive amounts of data and complex calculations to analyze the impact of friction at multiple points on a single turbine blade, making improvements a millimeter at a time," he writes.
