Andrew Cuomo has released a strategy developed by the New York State Public Service Commission, mapping the state's plans to reach its 2.4 gigawatts by 2030 goal for offshore wind development. The strategy consists of multiple procurement rounds, with the first for 800 megawatts taking place by 2019. BayWa has arranged a long-term power purchase agreement with utility MCE for its 101-megawatt Strauss project in Santa Barbara County, Calif., says the firm.
