DOE Releases Solar Market Transformation FOA; July 30 Deadline ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On May 27, the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy issued a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), "Recovery Act - Solar Market Transformation" [FOA Number: DE-FOA-0000078].
Topic 2 of the FOA addresses current market barriers to the adoption of solar energy technologies by establishing a nationally coordinated effort to expand solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar heating and cooling (SHC) installer training to the local level.

Topic 2 of the FOA is open to all domestic institutions and entities, and is divided into two funding categories: --Category 1: Regional Resource & Training Providers
--Category 2: Administrator of the National Consortium for Solar Installer Instructor Training.
To locate the full announcement, go to FedConnect and click on "Search Public Opportunities" (right-hand side of page). Under "Search Criteria", select "Issuing Office", enter "Golden Field Office", then click on "Search". Once the screen comes up, locate the appropriate Announcement.
Applications must be submitted through FedConnect .
