Dear Daniel,
We normally don't write you twice in one day, but this was too important not to contact you.
In short, some tea party activists are attempting, as we speak, to get Congress to overrule climate mandates that will move our country forward.
We need your help today to fight back against this attack, and many inevitable others that are threatening a safer climate.
Aren't you sick of this?
Grover Norquist, founder and president of the powerful anti-environment group Americans for Tax Reform, has teamed up with other tea party activists.
They've joined to battle the EPA's expected greenhouse gas emissions controls on new power plants.
We can't let these fear mongering groups water down the positive impact that the EPA and other groups were created to do.
Please make a generous contribution to EDF today to help hold the pro-polluter lobby accountable.
If they get their way, there may be a challenge against the EPA rule that allows regulation of the greenhouse gas emissions of new power plants. This challenge comes just months before the new rule would be finalized.
These forces "view this as the last stand on climate for us."
