Fracking is about to take off in Illinois!

Dear Daniel,

Last week, three seperate studies were released documenting the toxic impact of fracking operations. Research conducted by the Physicians Scientists & Engineers for Healthy Energy, found that fracking likely produces public health risks and "elevated levels of toxic compounds in the environment" in nearly all stages of the process.  See full story, Family Wins Fracking Suit in Legal Blow to Industry

Please call state senator, Mike Jacobs, chair of the energy subcommittee, and/or Senate speaker, John Cullerton.  Ask them to support sensible regulations for Fracking.  Urge them to bring the "Green Dozen" bills to an Illinois Senate floor vote.  (See bills below.)

Senator Mike Jacobs office number is 217-782-5957 or 309-797-0001
See his webpage here.

Senate speaker, John Cullerton's office number is 217-782-2728 or 773-883-0770
See his webpage here.

There are a lot of bills because fracking is a complex and wildly out of control practice that threatens our ground water, air and property values, maybe yours.  Act now.

Regards

PDA Illinois
