Water Partners Village
Dear Friend,
Visiting WaterPartners project sites around the world, I've often thought, "If people could only see what it's like to live without safe water . . ."
While I can't take you there physically, I would like to extend an invitation to you to visit our new WaterPartners Village. It breaks down barriers of space, time, language and culture so that people can better understand the daily reality faced by more than a billion of their fellow world citizens who do not have access to safe water.
That reality is quite stark. Every 15 seconds, a child dies from a water-borne disease. But it doesn't have to be that way. WaterPartners, a U.S.-based non-profit organization, is working with communities around the world to bring safe water to those in need.
You can help. It starts with awareness, which leads to advocacy. Advocacy creates action, and action changes the world.
Meet our thirsty villagers Dahnay, Miguel and Araja in Second Life, MySpace, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube. Experience for a few moments what it would be like to live in their world. You can also see how WaterPartners is making a real-world difference in people's lives through project profiles and success stories on our website at Water.org.
WaterPartners envisions the day when everyone in the world can take a safe drink of water. Join us in achieving that vision by visiting Water.org today.
Sincerely,
John Fitzpatrick
Director of International Programs
