March 11, 2008 Telephone Seminar - State Solar Policy Trends ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next IREC Telephone Seminar will be held Tuesday, March 11, at 2pm EDT (1pm CDT, noon MDT, 11am PDT, 10am Alaska, 8am Hawaii) on State Solar Policy Trends. The seminar will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Pre-registration is required.
State policies have been the driver for most of the solar installations in the U.S. over the past decade or more. This seminar will provide a summary of state policy trends. We will examine current state policies and the resulting solar installations. In addition, we will look at new policies and new markets to watch over the next several years.
Mark Sinclair of the Clean Energy States Alliance will discuss policies and program approaches being employed by the leading state clean energy funds, including lessons learned and emerging trends. Rusty Haynes of the N.C. Solar Center at N.C. State University will discuss other state policies and trends based on research associated with the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE).
