The Climate Reality Project

Dear Daniel,

Destructive sea-level rise. Devastating storms. Collapsing fisheries. Rising asthma rates.

This is just a short list of what continuing climate change could mean for all of us.

But deniers still seem to ignore the problem. They say: "So what if there's a little climate change? What's wrong with a couple extra days at the beach?"

That's a red-hot lie that you can remedy with a cold dose of truth. The list of what's wrong here is long ... and it's growing every day. That's why this week, we're turning the heat up on the anti-science deniers who claim, "It's not that bad."

The "It's Not Bad" myth is one of the most dangerous misconceptions in the denier repertoire. Because the truth is this:

  • Rising seas are already damaging homes and businesses near the water.
  • The quality of the air we breathe is getting worse and threatening our health.
  • Oceans are becoming more acidic, putting fisheries and the ocean's -- and the world's -- food chain at risk.
  • Many scientists believe that climate change will encourage the expansion of disease-bearing pests into new areas.

And that's just naming a few.

From Alaska to Zimbabwe, wherever we live, climate change poses serious risks to our everyday lives ... as well as the lives of our loved ones. But Big Oil, Big Coal, and the deniers living in their pockets are trying to mask the problem. They continue to claim that climate change isn't a bad thing ... if it's happening at all.

We're counting on your help today to destroy another climate change mega-myth: the "It's Not Bad" myth. Use the facts on RealityDrop.org and help set the record straight: climate change is extremely dangerous. But when we take action together, we can change the course of our future.

Thanks for all your hard work,

The Climate Reality Team
