Investments in Texas wind farms must continue, says expert
Texas is the nation's capital for installed wind capacity, but industry leaders, regulators and lawmakers are divided about the industry's future as the wind energy Production Tax Credit lapses and other changes occur. Energy consultant Robert Pena argues that the government and companies must continue to invest in the region because new turbines are taller and more efficient, meaning they can generate electricity during off-peak hours.
