Governor-elects in New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada and Maine have all called for the greater use of renewables.

Massachusetts chose a Canadian project that would carry hydro to the state under a previous request for proposals, but the project is now facing various challenges.

State Sen. Cale Case is reportedly working on a proposal that would increase the state's wind production tax and the timeline in which it applies.
