Ga. utility issues RFP for 540 MW worth of renewables
Utility Georgia Power has opened a request for proposals to add 540 megawatts of capacity from wind, solar and other renewables. Projects ranging from 3 MW to 540 MW may qualify.

Cheyenne, Wyo., expands lease for NextEra project
City council members in Cheyenne, Wyo., have unanimously agreed to expand the lease for NextEra Energy Resources' Roundhouse Renewable Energy Project. The deal gives NextEra the right to develop 16,700 acres of land, up from 12,000 acres.

Enel Green Power Mexico has broken ground on the 244-megawatt Dolores project in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The project is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2020.

Dominion Energy and Orsted have contracted Seaway Offshore Cables to provide and install the undersea cables needed for a 12-megawatt offshore wind pilot project in Virginia. The Coastal Virginia project is expected to feature two turbines.
