Group has high hopes for election long shot

Woodstock – Their beliefs are strong. Their chances are slim. Their group is, well ... diverse.
Meet the Kucinich crowd.
In the Hudson Valley, it should be no surprise that they gather here, in the artsy communities of the lower Catskills. They throw house parties in Accord and jam sessions in Woodstock, all to support an unimposing Ohio congressman most people have never heard of, despite the fact he's running for president.
Democrat Dennis Kucinich is a slight and soft-spoken man, whose progressive pleas for universal health care and creating a Department of Peace have been all but drowned out in the media din surrounding Dean's scream and Kerry's surge. Next week, when Super Tuesday screams into New York, he'll be lucky to get 3 percent of the vote.
But he'll probably do better in places like Saugerties, New Paltz and Kingston, where art galleries outnumber Wal-Marts and people strum guitars on the sidewalks in summer...(Full Story)
