Deadline Today for Early Bird Rate for IREC Solar Thermal Exam Prep Course ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today's the deadline to take advantage of Early Bird registration for the IREC web-based preparatory training for the NABCEP solar thermal exam scheduled for March 15, 2008.
Click here to register for the workshop.
The two day web-based training will take place on Monday AND Tuesday, February 11-12, 2008, from 6 pm-9 pm EST. This is one six-hour course and you should plan to participate in both sessions.
This workshop will prepare individuals for the NABCEP Solar Thermal Certification Exam on March 15, 2008. Participants will become familiar with reference materials and will review the tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities typically required to install and maintain Solar Water and Pool Heating systems.
This workshop is designed for experienced installers preparing for the NABCEP Exam. Others may take the course, but it is NOT a "beginners" workshop.
The registration fee is discounted for registrations made by today, February 1, 2008. Click here to register for the workshop.
The certification exam will be based on the NABCEP Solar Thermal Task Analysis, a comprehensive list of tasks and subtasks for contractors installing solar water and pool heating systems on buildings. The purpose of the solar thermal task analysis is to define a general set of competencies or skills typically required of practitioners who install and maintain solar water and pool heating systems.
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council does NOT administer the exam or offer certification. If you have questions on certification or the exam, you should contact NABCEP. Registration for this training workshop does NOT include the exam.
