Falling clean energy costs a boon for less-developed nations, says group
The cost of wind energy and other renewables continue to fall, and by 2020 will reach parity or fall below the cost of fossil fuel-based power in most places, says International Renewable Energy Agency Director-General Adnan Amin. Energy trade group Power for All said the downward pricing trend will make clean energy more accessible, which is especially important for Africa, Asia and other areas lacking grid connections.
