AEP seeks quick approval on 2,000-MW wind farm
American Electric Power needs Oklahoma regulators to approve its proposed $4.5 billion, 2,000-megawatt wind farm and transmission project to be eligible for 100% of the wind energy Production Tax Credit and other tax credits, say observers. "[The project] will lower our customers' overall rates from day one while also hedging against increases in future fuel and power costs," said Executive Vice President of Utilities Paul Chodak.
